Drop it

It's time to get down. The races are coming, and as such, we need to be ready. Of course, that's what we've been getting ready for all along, but now it is important to get down. Down on the drops, that is. Especially for those doing lots of trainer "miles," but applicable to everyone is that it is time to do the intervals in the drops.

Why?

Because during a race, that is where are most likely to be when it comes time to ride at the intensity we perform during intervals. Riding in the drops is just different enough that it requires some adaptation. You'll feel it in your arms, shoulders, back and even your legs if you leave riding in the drops until races force you to do so.

So, make it a point in all rides to spend some time in the drops. During interval days, if you aren't already doing so, get in the drops and crank it out!

Keep it up! Er, down, I mean.
