Whatever Lake is in Flemish Crit Finish Tip

The sweet spot for starting the sprint is to be 3rd or 4th wheel coming out of the last turn. Start sprinting as soon as the few riders ahead of you bend a little back towards the middle of the road. Since they will be taking the turn faster than they have any other lap, they will over-correct coming out of the turn and start heading back towards the middle of the road. However, there is a bend to the right a little after the left turn. Take off sprinting, sticking to the right side of the road, and that'll be the short line and force the others long. If you go ahead and drift a half person width to the left while storming for the line, that'll force those trying to come by to start thinking about "line" instead of coming by you.

You'll need to get in position on the last hill, which is about a 1K from the finish. On the downhillish part coming to the last turn, everybody, their aunt, the ten people who were lapped, and those you forgot were in the race will be trying to get in position. Use energy to keep them at bay and stick to the top three. It IS better to use some energy for the good position than to "save" it for after the turn.
